Leyton Moss RSPB Sanctuary

Leyton Moss RSPB Sanctuary -  Easter Visit

Well this was my first trip to Leighton Moss in the Lake district. I went with my good friend and fellow bird enthusiast Andy Trifanov. Andy is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to birds and so I learnt loads throughout the day.

First landscape Shots

Some Landscape shots and a Bird - by Emelia Z

We have been waiting a while now for one of our budding landscape photographers to step up and provide some evidence that they actually know how to take off the lens cap! Thankfully one of our newest members Emelia Z has done just that.

The images were taken on a Canon bridge whilst on a family holiday. Because this is a learning process for all of our members I have made a few quick adjustments in Lightroom to highlight what can be done with a few simple tweaks. Personally I think that the two beach images benefit most from the changes, what do you think?

Lightroom Work

The images all had their exposure changed to auto and the Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation were increased by +10 on all but the last two images. Image 3 had the white balance changed to Auto as this brought out details in the beach. Unfortunately I was unable to do this for Image 1.

I also cropped Images 3 & 4 as I thought this focused the shots more.

Good shooting Emelia, well done can't wait to see more of your shots!

Enjoy!
